Jiupeng, located in Pingtung County's Manzhou Township, is characterized by a reef headland juxtaposed with stunning coastal sand dunes. The surf spot faces northeast, with northeast monsoon swells during winter creating good waves for shortboarders. However, it can often get blown out and messy during the winter monsoon. On southeast swells, the headland acts as a point break, providing long peeling rights for longboarders and shortboarders alike, occasionally offering barrels.
The breathtaking scenery, combined with the chill vibe, make Jiupeng a great spot to check out. The drive to Jiupeng is also quite spectacular, and there are public facilities along the road adjacent to the beach, including parking, restrooms, and outdoor showers.
